Clinicians, therapists and coaches can use self-inquiry techniques in sessions by creating a safe space for clients to explore their identities. Integrating self-inquiry into various modalities, such as IFS or narrative therapy, can enhance effectiveness. Using neuro-affirming structured questions promotes self reflection in a way that feels safe and brings in the elements of compassionate curiosity.
Use the Self Inquiry questions as a starting point for self-discovery conversations, adapting them to individual needs. I encourage you as the clinician or coach to use self-inquiry for your own self-reflection as well. This is also a great tool to use as part of unmasking and identifying authentic values.

No one seems to ‘get it’. Friends and family think you just need to push through or "self-care" more.
